First, the note. If you subscribe in a reader, you’ll probably see Talonis as the author of this article. I decided with the update to WordPress 2.5, purely as a point of origin, to incorporate my main characters (see the sidebar) as authors of their own updates and adventures. (Astute readers may have noticed that Falken authored the PvP article from Monday; on the other hand, why should anyone take note?)
General commentary will continue to come from Kestrel’s pen (err…keyboard?), but if I’m going to talk priest stuff, Osprey will take over; likewise, for Rogue PvP, Falken, and for Huntery stuff, Talonis.
At some point, I may try to inject each with individual personalities; no promises on that score, though.
Falken’s been doing very, very well in the AH with gem sales of late. Unfortunately, his stock of blue gems is exhausted, due in large part to the scarcity of ore veins, and his refusal to pay more than 25g for a stack of Adamantite Ore. “I’ll be damned if I will give in to those greedy bastiges!” he yelled, on more than one occasion. Since he is probably damned anyway (he’s a Rogue, capice?), I suspect the profit margin may be dropping soon.
At any rate…cut green gems have been selling ridiculously well for the past couple weeks on Kul Tiras (although I seriously doubt the person offering Bold Blood Garnets for 17.50 is getting that, but it enabled Falken to get 8g for a couple!), so Falken’s been doing exceptionally well. So well, in fact, that from gem sales, Sunwell/Quel’Danas dailies, and the cash Sparverius (Hunter #2) has racked up by doing most of Blade’s Edge and all of Netherstorm at level 70, I’ll be putting down the money for Epic Flying Training in less than an hour, together with the deed for a Swift Green Gryphon. FINALLY!!
Supposedly, I’m the “main” character in this stable (Osprey finally got out for a little Sunwell action over the weekend), yet both Osprey and Falken have their epic mounts (and that wimpy priest has a Dragon!!). That’s okay…being the one-elf wrecking crew that I am, with all that speed I’ll be rolling in dough before long. Go me!

Grats on your epic flyer! I was surprised how many daily quests were added in 2.4. I easily made 100g alone from sunwell dailies. Hopeful I’ll get my alt hunter an epic mount soon.
Epic flying! I still have 3000g to go. =( 4600 if I want the hippogryph.
Nibuca over at Mystic Chicanery posts with different personalities for her topics. You should check it out if you haven’t already. I’m trying to do a similar thing maybe for my new blog with the warr alt.
Loronar’s last blog post..Shattered Sun Offensive, Really
Gratz to the epic bird! And good luck getting the third!
I am like you, my main (the wow-tessy) still hasn’t got her epic bird while two of my alts are swishing around faster than the speed of light (well they must be, how else can you explain the fact that sometimes ores or herbs doesn’t show up on the minimap until you have been hovering for a while… clearly the light waves took some time to catch up…)
I have been thinking of doing “alt-authored” blog posts too, since I usually gets confused and mixes the first and third person in the text. Would be easier for me (and ofc any readers) if I would stick to one of them ;P

@Jazzy & Loronar: If you haven’t seen it already, BRK posted today about what to do once you reach 70. In particular, his first item discusses how to go about getting your epic flyer. And as you’ve seen, the Sunwell dailies can make you rich(er) in no time–and if you have other 70 alts who can help, so much the better!
@Loronar: Yep, I’ve been reading Nibuca for quite awhile. The issue I have at the moment is that none of my guys really has developed a distinct personality — I don’t RP in game (my personal preference would have been an RP server, but the folks I moved with didn’t share that preference; not really an issue), so I haven’t really thought about a backstory or anything along those lines. But I’ll work on it.
@Tessy: Thank you for taking the time to comment!
LOL @ the FTL rationale — I understand completely! BTW, enjoyed your article on quest leechers: Dealt with the very same thing last night. And I’ll be checking in on you to see how you handle the MPD on your blog.
