The plan for The Oroborus Thursday night was to head back to Leotheras the Blind, in Serpentshrine Cavern. Unfortunately, at game time we didn’t have the 44 people on we had the night before, so the raid was called. (Just as an aside, when 28 people are on, and we need 25, and 7 of those people are Hunters, the chances of putting together an effective raid group are somewhere between slim, and none. Nothing against hunters, mind you, but you don’t fill a quarter of your raid with them.)
So, some of the officers put together a Kara run; I was fortunate enough to be asked to help heal, along with one of our awesome resto druids. Only one of the group, our mage, hadn’t seen all of Karazhan before, so there wasn’t a lot of discussion: Pull, kill, pull, kill, et cetera. We one-shot every boss except Maiden; still not sure what happened there, but I think the tank (prot pally) never did get aggro. It was over quickly. The re-do was almost as quick: Repentance occurred no more than three times.
Funny moment of the evening was when our GM (Hunter) hit herself with Misdirection. I’m watching Grid, and see the aggro dot show up for her right away…and only her. And I KNOW I saw MD go off… I don’t think anyone else caught it, but I called her on it anyway. I’m still not sure if it was accidental… (Yeah, she also plays a Holy Priest tank.) 
We didn’t set any land speed records for clearing Kara, and we skipped the Spider Boss (I would like to get her once, anyway), and it was after 1AM server time when Nightbane went down, so we passed on Netherspite. However, the loot gods smiled on me: Curator was kind enough to drop the T4 Gloves token, and Nightbane blessed me with Nightstaff of the Everliving. I’m now up to three pieces of T4, and the staff means I don’t have to go back to Heroic Magister’s Terrace. 
All in all, a very satisfying evening. Here’s hoping we can mount another attack on SSC come Sunday.

It is not possible, as funny as it would be to MD to yourself … the only thing I can think of is the MD never went off at all due to LOS or other issues … MD is one of those funny spells that will not let you self cast.
Even as a hunter, I would not consider going on a raid with 6 other hunters … that just sounds like trouble. Hunters are this funny breed that generally pay WAY too much attention to the damage meter, and when you have that many of them all on one raid you are asking for trouble as they all pull agro at the same time while competing for the top of the meter.
